postheadericon Obama talks economy with Warren Buffett

President Obama sat down with financial guru Warren Buffett Wednesday to talk about the economy, the White House announced.

Buffett supported Obama in the 2008 campaign. He’s been largely supportive of the Obama administration, though he has taken issue with portions of the president’s financial reform efforts.

“Warren Buffett was here earlier today. He and the president spoke about the economy in a fairly lengthy meeting, the efforts that we’re taking to ... continue to get the economy moving again,” press secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters at his daily briefing.

“[Buffett] wanted to come in and see the president, and you don’t turn down the opportunity to talk to Warren Buffett,” Gibbs added.

Obama will also meet with former President Clinton and business leaders to talk about green jobs.
