postheadericon Poll: Dems hold slim lead on generic ballot

Democrats hold a 4 percent advantage in Gallup's latest 2010 generic ballot poll.

Forty-eight percent of registered voters prefer a Democratic candidate in the upcoming midterms, while 44 percent would pick a Republican.

Dems' 4 percent lead is down slightly from the 49-43 percent margin they held last week.

On the other hand, a Rasmussen poll released Monday showed the GOP with 10 percent lead. (Among other differences, Gallup polls registered voters, while Rasmussen focuses on likely voters.)
