The Secret Service says it is looking into a comment a woman made Friday at a Rick Santorum campaign event at a shooting range.

Santorum was at a shooting range in Louisiana when a woman was heard saying that Santorum, who was wearing headphones while he was shooting a 1911 colt, should “pretend it’s [President] Obama.” 

Santorum reportedly did not hear the remark but denounced the comments afterward.

“We’re aware of the incident,” Secret Service spokesman Edwin Donovan told The Hill. Donovan said the Secret Service takes comments such as the one made “seriously.”
