Republican hopeful Mitt Romney blasted the president's health care reform law as an "attack on free enterprise" while campaigning in San Diego Monday, hours after the Supreme Court met for the first time to hear arguments on the constitutionality of the controversial legislation.

"What's happening today in Washington is an attack on free enterprise, an attack on economic freedom unlike anything we have ever seen before," Romney said at a campaign stop, according to CNN.

Romney gave the speech at NuVasive, a company that designs artificial spine replacements. The Republican frontrunner said new taxes under the legislation could force the company to eliminate some 200 jobs, and accused the president of overwhelming health care providers with new ! regulations.
