President Obama's reelection campaign announced the campaign staff for Vice President Biden on Monday.

Biden has been a regular presence on the fundraising circuit but has ramped up his campaign presence in the past month as Republicans get closer to picking their nominee.

{mosads}Sheila Nix, who previously headed the bipartisan advocacy group ONE, will be chief of staff for Biden in the reelection campaign headquarters.

Scott Mulhauser, who advised Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) and headed communications, will be deputy chief of staff.

Sam King, an adviser to Biden's 2008 campaign, will be Biden's political director.

Amy Dudley, who served in the vice president's office as deputy press secretary, will be press secretary for Biden on the campaign trail.

The vice president made his first major campaign appearance earlier this month when he went to Ohio to defend the administration's auto ! bailout. He is expected to campaign heavily in states like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan â€" where he would appeal to blue-collar voters â€" and where he could play the attack dog role against the eventual GOP nominee.
