Rick Santorum lobbed some of his strongest criticism at Mitt Romney's record in public office.

Speaking on the Laura Ingraham show on Tuesday, the former Pennsylvania senator said his accomplishments in the "public escort" were "weak."

"This is someone who is not a conservative and is not someone who has a record to run on in the public sector," Santorum said. "He had a horrible record on job creation. He created a blueprint for ObamaCare with the biggest entitlement that Massachusetts has ever seen. He talks about his private sector experience all the time because his public sector experience is pathetic."

In the past, when Santorum criticized Romney's time as governor of Massachusetts he's focused mostly on the passage of a healthcare reform law which critics of Romney have called far too similar to the national one put in place by the Obama administration. 

In criticizing Romney on the legislation, Santorum has argued that! , because of the similarities to the Obama administration law, the former Massachusetts governor would be a weak Republican presidential nominee.
