The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) on Thursday circulated a fundraising e-mail seeking donations following a spat between House Democrats and the White House. 

The e-mail, signed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), insists: "Here is what will happen in November. Democrats will keep control of the House. Period."

Though the e-mail does not mention it specifically, Pelosi's words came in response to White House press secretary Robert Gibbs's comment this weekend that there is "no doubt" Republicans could take back the House in the fall.

The e-mail shows Pelosi is trying to use the incident to her members' advantage. She blamed the dispute on misstatements by "Washington pundits."

"While some Washington pundits are claiming that Republicans have the momentum, I remain more confident in our chances for victory as long as we have our secret weapon â€" you," she wrote. 

House Democratic leaders such as Pelosi and Rep. Chris Van Hollen (Md.), chairman of the DCCC, said their dispute with the White House is over and they are on the same page moving forward. 

After making his comments Sunday, Gibbs has also said Democrats will retain the House.
