postheadericon Palin weighs in before NAACP vote

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin got snarky on Twitter Tuesday morning, as the NAACP’s 2,000 voting delegates prepared to decide on a resolution that would condemn the Tea Party movement for “explicitly racist behavior.”

The delegates are assembled at the group’s annual national convention in Kansas City, Mo.

Palin tweeted:

I’m busy today so notify me asap when NAACP renders verdict: are liberty-loving, equality-respecting patriots racist?Bated breath,waiting...

The Tea Party language, which was submitted by the NAACP’s Kansas City chapter, calls on “all people of good will to repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties, and to stand in opposition to its drive to push our country back to the pre-civil rights era.” It refers specifically to instances where Tea Partiers yelled racial slurs at black members of Congress in March while protesting the healthcare overhaul.
