postheadericon Clinton planning to stump for Dems in the fall

Former President Bill Clinton is planning to hit the stump for Democratic candidates in 2010 today, an ally said today.

Former DNC chairman Terry McAuliffe told MSNBC's Morning Joe that the 41st president is already coordinating his fall schedule with the White House.

"President clinton will do anything he can to help Democrats win elections," McAuliffe said.

Clinton campaigned for a handful of successful candidates in spring elections, including Mark Critz in PA-12 and Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.), who surprised many observers by holding off Lt. Gov. Bill Halter's (D) primary challenge.

When asked how much Clinton would campaign this fall, McAuliffe replied, "a lot."
