Vice President Joe Biden will meet one-on-one with GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham at the White House Thursday following a series of meetings with Democratic leaders on the agenda before August recess.

The South Carolina senator has negotiated with Democrats this year on such high-profile legislative items such as a climate change and energy bill, immigration reform and on the future of the Guantanamo Bay military prison. But he has withdrawn from negotiations on the former two items, citing a lack of direction from Democratic leaders.

Biden served with Graham in the Senate for six years before becoming vice president.

On Tuesday, President Barack Obama and Biden huddled with Senate Democratic leaders on their legislative priorities before the August recess and held a similar meeting with House Democratic leaders on Wednesday.

The Senate plans to hold a final vote on the Wall Street reform bill Thursday morning, but the upper chamber is still ! looking to pass a long-term unemployment benefits extension and a campaign finance reform bill.

Energy and climate as well as immigration is still on leader's radar, as is ratifying the new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) with Russia before the November elections.
