postheadericon Gingrich says âjustice must be doneâ in Afghan shootings

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich condemned a U.S. service member’s attack on civilians in Afghanistan.

The U.S. soldier left his military base and opened fire on civilian homes, killing roughly 15 people.

The U.S. should “communicate clearly that justice must be done” and also compensate the Afghan families, Gingrich said on “Fox News Sunday.”

Sen. John McCain also condemned the attack Sunday.
