Gingrich: Romney's prior statements on gas prices 'why I'm still running'

Newt Gingrich mocked Mitt Romney over statements he made in 2006 suggesting people should recognize high gas prices are "here to stay," arguing quotations like that are what is encouraging him to stay in the race.
“I’m not at all surprised that the governor was for higher gas prices," Gingrich said, according to the National Review.
The former House Speaker said that while he "had not seen that particular quote," Romney's statement was an example of "why I'm still running."
