Rep. Billy Long (R-Mo.) goes by @AUCTNR1 on Twitter, an unusual â€" and somewhat inscrutable â€" handle for a member of Congress. He says the name goes back to his former career as an auctioneer.

“My personalized licensed plate for 30 years was AUCTNR,” he told The Hill. “I tried for @auctnr but at the time it was taken so I added the ‘1.’”
