postheadericon State Dept. tweaks Kim Jong Il in tweet

The State Department's top spokesman Wednesday jabbed at North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il for his son's attendance at an Eric Clapton concert.

Kim Jong Chol, 30, reportedly attended the blues rocker's gig in Singapore on Monday. This week also happens to be the birthday of Kim Jong Il, who is turning 69 according to the famously opaque North Korean government.

P.J. Crowley, who is assistant secretary of state for public affairs, tweeted that the North Korean leader should get out more often:

#KimJongIl's son attended an #EricClapton concert in Singapore? Actually, the #DearLeader himself would benefit from getting out more often.

He also said North Korea could benefit from hearing the former Yardbirds frontman play:

Of course, there is nothing preventing #KimJongIl from opening up #NorthKorea  so his people could enjoy #Clapton, and maybe get more to eat.
