Tuesday night, January 25, President Obama will give his second State of the Union address.

Nobody’s seen an advance copy of his remarks â€" no doubt, he’s still working on them â€" but already most commentators have already decreed that, after reading the tea leaves of the midterm elections, Obama is going to move to the middle. Fox News, in fact, is reporting the shift as a fait accompli.

Move to the middle? What the hell are they talking about? Where do they think Obama’s been over the last two years?
