Heading to a vote, Rep. David Schweikert (R-Ariz.) ran into the intern who ran to save Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) immediately after she was shot in the head in an Arizona shooting rampage early last month.

"On the way over to vote, I ran into @Rep_Giffords intern and hero. Daniel Hernandez. http://yfrog.com/h0fmacxj," Schweikert tweeted.

Right after a shooter opened fire, striking Giffords in the head, wounding 12 others and killing six, Hernandez rushed to Giffords' side and applied basic first aid measures. Since then Hernandez has been hailed as a hero.
