The Republican National Committee has a Valentine’s Day wish for Democrats.

On Twitter Thursday, the GOP announced a new project, GOPValentine.com, which offers a selection of 18 Valentine’s Day cards that spoof the Democrats on policy. One card with President Obama on a background of pink hearts reads:

“Hope you like this
Valentine’s Card,
your grandchildren
are paying for it.”

Other cards use images of Vice President Joe Biden, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), other members of the administration and public figures such as former MSNBC commentator Keith Olbermann. The site is paid for by the RNC.

New RNC Chairman Reince Priebu! s retweeted the RNC message. Priebus, formerly chairman of the Wisconsin Republican party, replaced incumbent chairman Michael Steele on Jan. 14. Seven rounds of voting by committee members led to Steele stepping out of the chairman race. Priebus joined Twitter in February 2009 and has 5,222 followers.
