postheadericon RNC chairman 'looking forward' to working with former opponent

New Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus doesn't seem to hold any hard feelings toward his former opponent, Maria Cino.

"Just finished a great lunch with Maria Cino," Priebus tweeted Tuesday. "Looking forward to working with her to grow our Party and win in 2012."

Priebus beat out both Cino and incumbent Michael Steele in January to head the party. Cino survived the first five rounds of balloting and received the endorsement of Steele after he was knocked out; she also had the endorsement of big-name Republicans like Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and former Vice President Dick Cheney.

Cino served as deputy RNC chairwoman in 2004.

Priebus faces a daunting task of paying off the RNC's debt of more than $20 million, while building a formidable war chest for the 2012! elections. Recently Priebus urged Florida legislators to push back the Republican primary from January.
