Pelosi calls young Egyptians âinspirationâ

Following 18 days of rage in Egypt, President Hosni Mubarak announced Friday that he will step down from the position he originally intended to hold until elections take place in September.
Responding to the announcement, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.)Â tweeted:
Young people leading #Egypt towards democracy-their energy changed Egypt, their actions are an inspiration to the world.
"THe world is a twitter re. Egypt," noted Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.). Fellow lawmakers from the House and Senate took to Twitter to react to what seems to be the culmination of weeks of violent unrest in the region.
