postheadericon NPR curates Twitter list for Egypt revolt

NPR News, which keeps its own feed here, has assembled a list of 40 useful Twitter accounts for tracking the demonstrations in Cairo and other Egyptian cities.

The list follows several English-language correspondents, bloggers and human rights activists on the ground.

One NPR-recommended user, a columnist for The National, noted on Tuesday that the Egyptian police force had changed! its slogan in an attempt to mollify the crowds. Others are tweeting about the state of electronic communications and the growing food shortages.

See the list here, and for more discussion try #Egypt and #Jan25.

Note: This blog translates voice messages from Egyptians who use @speaktotweet, a service sponsored by Google, Twitter and SayNow.
