postheadericon 'Draft Gates 2012' account appears on Twitter

Defense Secretary Robert Gates has some grassroots support for a presidential bid, apparently.

The Twitter account @DraftGates2012 surfaced on the network on Tuesday and linked to a similar website, complete with literature on Gates:

Thank you for your interest in ensuring that the core values of service, integrity, statesmanship, pragmatism, and diplomacy are leading our nation in 2012. Secretary Robert Gates has demonstrated these values during his decorated history of public service.

"Robert Gates is not a politician. He has ne! ither the ego nor the hubris to run for president, and the only call he will answer is yours. Join the movement and Draft Gates to run for President of the United States in 2012."
