postheadericon Illinois Republican makes political Super Bowl wager

Illinois Rep. Peter Roskam (R) has issued a politically-tinged challenge to his Wisconsin colleagues over the upcoming National Football Conference championship game.

Roskam â€" who is rooting for the Chicago Bears â€" said on his Twitter account that he wants to switch state tax policies with Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan (R) if the Bears defeat their rival Green Bay Packers in the game Sunday:

How's this for a bet w @PaulRyan? If Bears beat the Packers, Illinois gets Wisconsin tax rates. #Bears #Packers #taxes

The Illinois congressman is referring to his state's decision to implement a 66 percent income tax hike in order to close a $13 billion budget gap.

Roskam did make a slight Twitter gaffe, referring to a San Francisco-bas! ed tweeter instead of the House Budget Committee chairman who tweets at @RepPaulRyan.
