Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz's insistence on not sitting next to Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner during the State of the Union earned him a razzing Wednesday.

The outspoken Weiner (N.Y.) took to Twitter saying, "@jasoninthehouse  Please stop calling. I do not want to be your date for Michelle Bachman's [sic] next speech."

Chaffetz (Utah) mentioned multiple times, on Twitter and on cable TV, about wanting to stay away from the Queens congre! ssman during Obama's speech.

"I was so scared to death I was going to have to sit next to Rep. Weiner and I thank goodness that didn't happen," Chaffetz said on Fox News on Wednesday. "This is the morning hour. I know people are eating oatmeal right now, I didn't mean to prepare people to hurl by thinking about that scene."

The second-term lawmaker said he sat next to Iowa Rep. David Loebsack (D).
