Former President Bill Clinton will travel to Haiti Tuesday to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the devastating earthquake that brought the impoverished island nation to its knees.

According to Clinton's schedule, the 42nd president will visit a number of projects backed by his charitable foundation, the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund and the Clinton Global Initiative.

Clinton will also attend a press conference with Haitian Prime Minister Jean Max Bellerive Tuesday and two memorial events for the victims of the earthquake on Wednesday.

The 7.0 magnitude earthquake, which struck on Jan. 12, 2010, claimed the lives of over 200,000 people and destroyed a sizable portion of the capital city of Port-au-Prince.
