In his April 19th op-ed opposing the National Labor Relations Board’s new election rule, Senator John Thune (R-S.D.) provides a litany of unsubstantiated and disingenuous arguments that are emblematic of the GOP’s anti-union agenda. Over the past year, the same right-wing myths have been used to oppose several NLRB rules, from notice-posting designed to inform employees of their rights under federal law to streamlining union certification elections in order to prevent the worst cases of deliberate delay.
