Mitt Romney on Tuesday sought to shore up his support in New Hampshire by making clear his support for the New Englanders’ early primary.

State leaders want him to show solidarity with New Hampshire by joining other candidates in a boycott of Nevada’s 2012 caucuses, which were moved forward in the shifting Republican nomination process.

“I support a quick resolution in the dispute,” Romney said Tuesday during a conference call with key New Hampshire supporters. “I also respect and unequivocally support New Hampshire’s status as our country’s first primary.”
