Canadian rock group The Tea Party announced on Twitter that they would be auctioning off TeaParty.com, but denied media reports that said the site had already been sold for more than $1 million.

"No #teaparty dot com sale, despite what the press says. It's listed with #SEDO so we can get back to playing music," the band tweeted last week.

Domain auctionhouse Sedo, who is handling the sale, said in a release that "the domain has gained significant relevance, and has already generated substantial interest from a wide range of political groups."
