postheadericon Mitt Romney not a real 'buddy,' says AFL-CIO

Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney took fire on Monday from the nation’s largest labor federation.

The AFL-CIO was inspired by Romney’s comments earlier in the day at a town hall in New Hampshire.

The group blasted Romney through their official Twitter page:

Hey @MittRomney--if "rank & file" union members supported you your labor advisers would be workers, not corporate lawyers.

“I consider the CEOs of organized labor not to be my big buddies,” the former Massachusetts governor said. “I consider the rank and file of organized labor to be my buddies.”

Romney's Labor Policy Advisory Group includes lawyers Peter Schaumber and William Kilberg as co-chairmen.
