Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice emerged on the social media scene this week.

Rice used her first tweet late Wednesday to publicize her new memoir, No Higher Honor: “I'm now on Twitter! Stay tuned for updates on my new book, No Higher Honor, to be released on November 1, 2011!”

With her book’s release in a little over two weeks, it is probably not a coincidence that Rice chose to open a Twitter account now, which she can use to promote her upcoming book.
