postheadericon Gov. Haley: Bachmann sleepover 'not an endorsement'

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) and Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) spent some time together this week in South Carolina, where Bachmann made several campaign stops on Tuesday.

The two politicians spoke following a Tea Party rally at the state capitol on Monday, and Bachmann slept over at Haley's house on Monday night.

However, Haley was quick to deny that hosting her fellow conservative for the evening meant sharing political influence.

Haley tweeted:

To our friends at the press: yes, Michelle Bachman stayed at the house last night. No it is not an endorsement.... http://fb.me/yerqN37Q

In a longer message on her Facebook page, Haley said her home was open to all potential presidents.

"Y! es that same invitation is for all other Presidential candidates," she wrote.

Haley is considered one of the more sought-after endorsements in the Republican presidential primary for 2012, but she tried to take the emphasis off herself.

"It's not my endorsement you need to focus on, it is that of the people of our state," she wrote.
