Capitol Police on Tuesday arrested an anti-abortion rights protestor, charging him with assault on a police officer.

Rives Grogan Jr., of California, was arrested. He and his young son in recent weeks have been fixtures at the Capitol, where they have called on Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to cut funding for abortion.

Grogan, 45, was involved in a separate altercation with Capitol police last week when he was forcibly detained while loudly protesting during an unrelated press conference. An arrest was not made in that incident.
