Now that the GOP primary race is all but over, some former candidates are showing a sense of humor about their experiences. 

Texas Gov. Rick Perry on Wednesday joked that God forgives "oops moments" like his own infamous struggle, during a GOP debate, to remember the third Cabinet-level agency he proposed to eliminate.

"Every one of us has 'oops moments' every day," Perry said at a breakfast event in Austin, Texas, according to The Associated Press.

"America may not forgive you for it," Perry said. "But God will."
