Vice President Joe Biden is not the most prolific tweeter in politics these days, but gearing up for what's expected to be a fierce re-election battle, Biden finally signed on to Twitter under his own name.

President Obama's re-election campaign announced on Monday that they're "excited" to reboot Biden's Twitter presence in order to provide "news of the Vice President on the trail."

Campaign staff will run this account to keep you up to date on what the VP's up to, but you'll see occasional tweets from Joe himself, too.
