postheadericon Ron Paul earns first place for social media use

Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) earned first place this week in a survey of social media use by members of Congress.

A survey of analytics by media and technology company OhMyGov averaged out growth in followers on Twitter and Facebook, retweets, and mentions over the past week.

The top five House users are all Republicans: Paul is trailed by Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.), then Reps. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) and Allen West (R-Fla.).

The top five senators ranked a little closer together in their numbers and were bipartisan, including Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Rand Paul (R-Ky.) Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Richard Lugar (R-Ind.)
