White House hopeful Herman Cain blasted President Obama and his "comrades" for pointing the finger at Republicans in the apparent failure of the debt supercommittee to find $1.2 trillion in spending cuts, meaning automatic cuts to defense and domestic spending will likely be triggered in 2013.

"President Obama and his ultraliberal, anti-job creating comrades in the Democrat Party are apoplectic because Republicans are standing strong with the American people, refusing to hike their taxes during Obama’s Great Recession," Cain said in a statement.

Cain went on to blame Obama for "providing no leadership" and "failing Americans" as Congress negotiated potential debt-saving measures.
