Michele Bachmann said Tuesday that it was "not for me to say" whether her fellow Republican presidential contender Herman Cain should drop out of the race, but she expected he would have to determine soon "whether he sees himself as a viable candidate."

She also reiterated that voters could turn to her as a "consistent" candidate with "no surprises" in her past.

Cain on Tuesday told his staff that he is “reassessing” his decision to remain in the race for the Republican nomination, following new allegations by an Atlanta businesswoman claiming she and Cain had a 13-year-long affair.

"That’s for the voters to determine and he’ll have to make the determination about where he goes with his campaign," Bachmann said on CNN. "His campaign is reassessing where he’s at and I’m sure he’ll make a decision before too long."
