Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-Minn.) weighed in Monday evening on the expected United Nations vote on Palestinian statehood, and accused President Obama of putting the U.S. in “a position of weakness” at the U.N. on the topic.

“The president has not done Israel any favors by making the unwise speech he made earlier this year when he called on Israel to retreat to its indefensible 1967 borders,” Bachmann told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.

“I do not think that Israel should be withdrawing from the West Bank,” Bachmann said. “I think Israel’s given enough more than enough of its land.”

Bachmann also warned that Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad should not be allowed to speak in favor of Palestinian statehood. Bachmann called Ahmadinejad a “genocidal madman” due to his stated desire to wipe out Israel.

“In my opinion, he should not be allowed inside the United States to address the General Assembly,” Bachmann sa! id.
