Donald Trump slammed an ad by the Democratic National Committee that painted him and Mitt Romney â€" with whom Trump will be meeting Monday afternoon â€" as elitist and out of touch.

"I think it's a pretty weak ad," Trump said on Fox News. "It's a pretty pathetic ad. I guess the point of the ad is, if you're successful, you're not supposed to meet with successful people."

The meeting with Romney is the latest in a series of one-on-one sit-downs for Trump with Republican leaders. Trump took former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin â€" who has not yet declared her intentions â€" to a pizza parlor in New York. He then dined last week with Texas Gov. Rick Perry at the pricey Jean-Georges restaurant.
