Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) hinted on Twitter Wednesday that Republicans should listen and learn from a member of their own party.

Schumer name-checked Ohio's Republican governor--and House Speaker John Boehner's (R-Ohio) golfing buddy--John Kasich in a tweet:

Glad to see @JohnKasich supports closing wasteful tax loopholes in debt deal- DC Rs should too

Kasich said Wednesday morning that the corporate jet tax loophole should be closed as part of a debt ceiling compromise. "I know there's Republican! s that would vote against that, but right now the administration wants rate increases," Kasich said on MSNBC's Morning Joe program.

The president suggested in a speech earlier this month that Republicans are protecting millionaires and billionaires such as "corporate jet owners" by refusing to raise taxes.
