postheadericon Man stabbed in neck in front of Rayburn House office building

Two men have been arrested in connection with an fight Tuesday morning in front of the Rayburn House office building during which one of the men was stabbed in the neck.

The two suspects, Michael Hardy and Terris Hewlin, have each been charged with assault with a deadly weapon by Capitol Police, according to spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Schneider.

Hardy reportedly used a helmet as a weapon during the fight, while Hewlin used a pen.

Though details are still unclear, Capitol Police confirmed that the suspects were involved in an altercation at around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of South Capitol St. in Southwest D.C., and that one individual was stabbed in the neck.

Information is not yet available on the condition of the suspects.
