postheadericon Obamas heading to Camp David for weekend

The first family is making a rare trip to Camp David this weekend for a little R&R.

The retreat in the Maryland mountains has been a favorite of many presidents but hasn't been used as much by President Obama and his family.

It will Obama's 17th visit there, according to CBS' Mark Knoller, who keeps track of such events. At the same point in his presidency, Obama's predecessor, George W. Bush, had been 62 times.

Obama usually spends his weekends playing golf, as he will on Saturday, June 18th, with House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio).

The president has had a busy week, hosting a state visit and dinner for German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the White House. Unlike past presidents, he's yet to bring a foreign leader to Camp David.

The Obamas made their first trip there in early February 2009, shortly after Obama took office.
