Increasingly heated budget negotiations prompted a little trash talk on Twitter Thursday.

Rep. Bruce Braley (D-Iowa) taunted House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) for leaving the Biden deficit reduction committee in a tweet:

".@EricCantor: Do you always leave the kitchen when it gets too hot?"

Braley's tweet came shortly after Cantor announced on Thursday that he would no longer participate in Vice President Joe Biden's deficit reduction negotiations. Cantor tweeted about his reasons earlier on Thursday:

Regardless of the progress made, the tax issue must be resolved before discussions can continue. T! he House doesn't support tax increases.
