President Obama's top political adviser says that there's "zero chance" that GOP Presidential hopeful business mogul Donald Trump will be elected as commander-in-chief.

On Sunday morning David Plouffe told ABC News host Christiane Amanpour that he hopes Trump's star continues to rise in the polls because in the end, voters won't support the blunt spoken businessman.

"Given his behavior and spectacle over the last couple of weeks I hope he keeps on rising because I think there's zero chance that Donald Trump would be hired by the American people to do this job," the White House senior adviser said on ABC News' "This Week."
