At least one Connecticut lawmaker was on the edge of his seat during the University of Connecticut Huskies' victory in the NCAA men's basketball title game Monday night, and he let his Twitter followers know about it.

Rep. Jim Himes (D) tweeted that the final minutes of the game felt like a lifetime, even though the Huskies were able to pull away from the Butler Bulldogs in the second half and win the low-scoring affair 53-41: 

What a game! UConn pulling away, but 13 mins feels like a lifetime.

Yeah! Four minutes not feeling like a lifetime!

The Nutmeg State's lawmakers have made Huskies fanhood one of their priorities. Before the tourney began, Rep. Joe Courtney (D) wrote to CBS and the NCAA to ask them to move the UConn game from network to cable television. The switch did not happen.
