postheadericon SC gov. to address controveries in memoir

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) said her new memoir will address the accusations of infidelity that were levied against her last.

Haley, the first half-Indian governor of South Carolina, is considered a rising star in the Republican Party. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) campaigned for her, an endorsement observers credited with helping Haley win the race.

Haley says the memoir will address two controversies that arose during her successful campaign: the accusations of infidelity, which Haley says are false, and her inconsistency on paying her taxes on time.

"It's going to talk about all aspects of my personal life, and my political life," Haley told the Associated Press.

Memoirs are often a signal that a politician ! has ambitions for higher office. According to the AP, Haley is working with lawyer Robert Barnett, an attorney who has worked on book deals for the three previous presidents.

Ever since her election victory attracted national attention, Haley has continued to weigh in on national topics. She recently criticized the so-called "Wisconsin 14" â€" the group of Democratic state legislators who fled the state to block legislation that would cut back bargaining rights for public employee unions.
