House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) sent out a message via Twitter to well-wishers after she was briefly hospitalized during a trip to Italy.

Her tweet read: 

Thanks to everyone for your well wishes-had a very productive trip to Afghanistan and am in Italy resuming meetings now.

Pelosi was taken to the hospital after feeling "slightly unwell," according to media reports. The former Speaker led a congressional delegation to Italy and Afghanistan this weekend, the beginning of a week-long recess for Congress.

Pelosi had to cancel or postpone meetings with Italian officials on Monday due to her illness.
