postheadericon Palin ranks with Pelosi in poll of voters' feelings toward leaders

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) ranks with House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) when it comes to voters' feelings about political leaders.

A new Quinnipiac University poll measuring the "temperature" of registered voters' feelings toward a variety of political figures put Palin third-to-last, followed by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Pelosi.

Pelosi scored a temperature of 32.9 degrees, Reid was at 34.8 degrees, and Palin checked in at 38.2 percent.

Palin scored the lowest overall score of any possible 2012 Republican candidate for president, a figure especially notable since the other candidates in the field all had much higher unknown levels.

Among Republican registered voters, though, Palin (and many other 2012 GOP candidates) fare much better. !

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R), who insists he's not running for president, has the highest score, at 70.2, Quinnipiac found.

Of the other GOP candidates considered to be running, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty had the highest temperature (68.1) amongst Republicans, followed by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (67.2), and Rep. Michele Bachmann (65.8).

Palin's Republican temperature of 63.8 put her in the middle of the pack, ahead of other contenders like former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

Find each candidate's temperature among Republican voters below, with their overall temperature in parentheses.
