Rep. Tim Johnson (R-Ill.) made his Twitter debut last week as @RepTimJohnson. He was welcomed Thursday by fellow Illinois Republican Reps. Bobby Schilling and Adam Kinzinger.

Schilling tweeted:

The Republicans representing Illinois in Congress are definitely “winning” when it comes to their presence on Twitter: With the addition of Johnson, Republicans beat Democrats 10 to seven.

Illinois lawmakers not on Twitter are Democratic Reps. Danny Davis, Dan Lipinski and Bobby Rush.

Both Illinois senators are now on Twitter, thanks to Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) signing up last week. Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) joined last November.

Johnson currently has 25 followers and has yet to post a profile picture.
