postheadericon Exercise is a national, bipartisan issue

Exercise is a bipartisan issue. It’s also a national issue. 

The ramifications it has on America’s health affect all of us. And, with the recent passage of Senate Resolution 97 (SR97) introduced by Sens. Bob Casey (D-Pa.) and Richard Burr (R-N.C.), it appears that all within the U.S. Senate agree.

On March 9th, the Senate unanimously passed a resolution encouraging exercise to prevent disease, combat obesity, and lower health care costs. Its passage so early in this Congressional session is significant in that it signals the Senate’s recognition of the importance of exercise to America’s health and a commitment to developing incentives to promote physical activity.
