The governors of Louisiana and Minnesota shared a friendly tweet exchange Thursday in the hours before the New Orleans Saints's season-opening NFL game against the Minnesota Vikings.

"Dear @timpawlenty: Geaux Saints! Who Dat!" Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) tweeted Thursday afternoon.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) quickly jumped to defend his team.

"Don't underestimate Brett Favre and company. Skol Vikings!" he said.

Louisiana Rep. Joseph Cao (R), another excited fan, also noted the game on his feed.

"Who dat?! First game of the season for the team who has done so much for #NOLA and the #recovery. #Saints #Football," he said. 

The game starts at 8:30 pm EDT.
